2009 Button Contest Winners

In keeping with tradition, the Bristol Fourth of July Committee held it’s 18th Annual Commemorative Button Contest.

The winner of each category received $50.00. One overall winner was chosen from the three category winners and received an additional $50.00. All category winners received an invitation to be in the Fourth of July parade.

OVERALL WINNER
CATEGORY WINNER: GRADES K-5

Congrtulations to Danielle Dunbar, whose button design was chosen as the Official Button for the 224th Bristol Fourth of July Celebration.

Daniellle is 11 years old and a 5th Grade student at Bayview Acadamy. Her design was selected out of 81 entries submitted for this year's contest.

Danielle received $50 for winning her category of Grades K-5 and an additonal $50 for as the overall winner. Look for Danielle is this year's Military, Civic and Firemen's Parade on July 4th.



CATEGORY WINNER: GRADES 6-8

Congrtulations to Macy Mello, whose button design was chosen as the winner in the Grades 6-8 category.

Macy is 12 years old and received $50 for winning her category of Grades
6-8. Macy is also the overall winner of this year's Orange Crate Derby.












CATEGORY WINNER: GRADES 9-12

Congratulations to Meghan McMullen, whose button design was chosen as the winner in the Grades 9-12 category.

Meaghan is 16 years old and received $50 for winning her catagory of Grades 9-12. Meaghan is no stranger to the Button Contest. She was the overall winner in 2004 and 2007.
