MISS FOURTH OF JULY 2010

On Saturday, May 15th, more than 400 people gathered in the Mt. Hope High School Auditorium to celebrate the 62nd Annual Miss Fourth of July and the 14th Annual Little Miss Fourth of July pageant.

Kayla Nerone Kayla is 19 years old and is the daughter of Kevin and Deborah Nerone.  She has completed her sophomore year at Roger Williams University with a major in marketing and a minor in graphic design.  Kayla’s future ambition is to work for a magazine or a well-known advertising agency and market trendy products.  She enjoys dancing, exercising, photography, shopping, traveling, going to the beach, water sports, and walking her dog.

The Miss Fourth of July Court are first runner-up Elizabeth Jernigan, 20, daughter of Edward and Maureen Jernigan; second runner-up; Christina Fontana, 19, daughter of Luigi Fontana and Denise Cotta-Fontana; third runner-up Kristen Mascola, 20, daughter of Louis and Sandy Mascola; and fourth runner-up Meagan Leal, 18, daughter of John and Dora Leal;.

Krystal Lynn Waters, 19, daughter of Kevin and Alicia Waters, was selected "Miss Congeniality".

LITTLE MISS FOURTH OF JULY 2010

Jade Lynn Ramos won the 14th Little Miss Fourth of July crown. Jade is 9 years old and is the daughter of Fred and Melanie Ramos. She Attends Rockwell School and is in the third grade.  When she grows up, Jade would like to be a teacher, fashion designer, or a famous singer.  She enjoys dancing, singing, gymnastics, playing basketball, and designing and making doll clothes.

The Little Miss Court first runner-up was Julia Sousa, 9, daughter of E.J. and Isabel Sousa; and second runner-up Samatha Geri Martins, 7, daughter of Archi and Michele Martins.
