Fourth of July Celebration

The Bristol Fourth of July Committee presents its Annual Photography Contest. Please read the entry details and contest rules below. Entry forms can be downloaded from the right column.

ENTRY DETAILS

The contest is open to all Bristol residents with the exception of 4th of July Committee members and professional photographers.
Each entry must be an unmounted 8" x 10" print.
Each entry must have your name, address, telephone number, title and category on the back.
Each entry must have a completed entry label (found below) affixed to the front lower edge of photo.
Entries must be taken either conventionally or digitally and printed on photo paper.
Photographs may be black & white, sepia or color.
Each contestant may submit up to 3 entries per category and enter in only 2 categories.
All photographs must be taken in Bristol, but need not relate to the 4th of July.
All entries become the property of the 4th of July Committee and may be reproduced by the committee for use during the 4th of July Celebration.
If mailed entries must be postmarked no later than Tuesday, May 25, 2010 and mailed to:

Entries may also be dropped off before noon on Friday, May 28, 2010 at Photo World (433 Hope St.) or Rogers Free Library.
Failure to comply with the above 11 items will result in disqualification.
The judges are members of the Professional Photographers of America.
Winners will be notified by telephone no later than Saturday, June 5, 2010.
Ribbons will be awarded for First, Second and Third place in each category. One Best of Show ribbon will also be awarded.
The winning photographs will be displayed at Paper, Packaging and Panache (418 Hope St.) and Rogers Free Library from June 14, 2010 through July 31, 2010.
